Sound Healing and Harmonics（声波医学及运用）
WHAT IS SOUND?
Simply put, sound is transmitted vibrations. Vibrations transmitted with frequencies in the range of 20 to 20,000 Hertz (Hz) are generally within the realm of human hearing. Frequencies above 20,000 Hz are referred to as ultrasonic, and frequencies below 20 Hz are referred to as infrasonic.
HOW DO WE PERCEIVE and PROCESS SONIC VIBRATIONS?
Our human bodies are wired to be exquisitely sensitive to sound. Hearing is one of the first senses to develop in utero, and the last to depart before death. Studies have shown that in addition to perceiving sound through our ears, we also sense the pressure waves of sound through our skin. And since water conducts sound at a rate that’s approximately four times faster than air, it’s easy to see how we humans (with bodies composed largely of water) are very receptive to and deeply affected by sonic vibrations.
“One evening, as one of the seasoned meditators entered the home, she asked, “Where is the master hiding?” We explained that there was no master present, only the Tesla iQube, which generates a quantum field of energy, which may “feel” like the energy of a master. WHAT DOES ALL THIS HAVE TO DO WITH SOUND HEALING?
If, as quantum physics has proven beyond doubt, everything in the physical universe is simply Energy vibrating at different rates, and if this vibrating Energy is all integrally interconnected, then it stands to reason that any change or alteration of vibration can and must affect all other forms of vibration. It’s the science that explains why a butterfly flapping its wings, can ultimately cause a tsunami on the other side of the world. It’s not just a metaphor, or a nice spiritual concept: We are, literally, all in this together.
WHAT FORMS OF SOUND HEALING DOES NANCY USE?
I’ll answer that! (Hence the purple text….) Sometimes you choose your work. Sometimes your work chooses you. With regards to Sound Healing, the latter is definitely the case. Although voice has always been a powerful instrument of healing and expression in my personal life, it was not until I discovered crystal singing bowls that I first began to explore integrating sound healing into my existing professional practice.
I began by playing “the big white bowls” – the ones made solely of quartz crystal, which is what most people think of when they think of crystal singing bowls. In more recent years, I have been drawn, irresistibly, to what are known as Alchemical Crystal Singing Bowls, often called “those beautiful colored bowls.” At present writing, I have more than thirty of these powerful bowls. Their combined, synergistic effects can transport you blissfully out of this world!
